There are two Marco Polo book shops in Venice.
The book shop in Santa Margherita, in the Dorsoduro district, offers best sellers from known publishing houses as well as a great variety of independent publications, books for children and illustrated books. The books and editors are carefully chosen by the book shops owners, who even write reviews of most of them! If they read and like a book, they will have it in their store.
The book shop in Cannaregio, just before the “Corte del Milion” where the famous traveler and merchant Marco Polo grew up, has a large selection of used English books and bargains that make it the biggest English/American bookstore in Venice. This book shop even accepts book exchange: “sell” a book to this shop, and receive credit for “buying” a different book.
