In current times, the great majority of shoes, even the famous Italian ones, are the outcome of a standardized mass production. In this beautiful workshop close to the Rialto Bridge in Venice, however, each pair of shoes is entirely made by hand, precisely tailored on the foot of the customer, creating a work of art that is fully customized and, literally, one-of-a-kind.
Giovanna believes that the work of artisans is to turn dreams into reality, and a true artisan is a person who listens to the dreams of others and is capable of transforming them into something real. Respecting the precise requests of her customers, or helping in the creative process, Giovanna’s decorations with nylon blossoms, cobra heads, pistils and frills turn these creations into a wearable sculptural work.
In this beautiful workshop, you’ll be able to design the pair of shoes you always dreamed of. Choosing between shoes, boots, sandals, or moccasins, picking your favorite shade of bright red, pink, purple or orange, suggesting different materials for the making and the decorations will result in the pair of tailored shoes that you always dreamed of.
