Dating back to 943 a.d., the “Festa delle Marie” is the oldest venetian celebration.
One of the women who took part to the “Festa delle Marie” parade 10 days before will now be nominated the “Maria” and will fly down the Saint Mark’s bell tower the next Carnival.
