Event: Epiphany Regatta 2017All Events
6 January, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm CET | Free
The epiphany regatta or “Regata della Befana” is held every 6th of June in Venice on the Grand Canal. The Befana is an old woman riding a broom who delivers gifts to children all through Italy.
The most mature members of the Bucintoro rowing club dress up as old ladies (“Befana in italian is an old witch”) and battle each other in a short venetian rowing regatta which starts and finishes in front of the Rialto Bridge.
