In an interview for the French Tv program Les Témoins d’Outre-Mer, Valeria Duflot, co-founder of Venezia Autentica, explains the news regarding the passage of big cruise ships in Venice. Italian national newspapers saluted the intention of the Italian Government to prohibit cruise ships to pass in front of Saint Mark, but this could be far from being an improvement, as for doing so canals of the delicate Venetian Lagoon surrounding Venice will be dramatically excavated to allow much bigger ships to enter.
