Youngest of the 5 keepers of a centuries old art, Piero's traditional oars and oarlocks are key to the survival of Venetian Rowing in the future.
Piero, the youngest of the 5 remaining “forcolai” in the world, keeps the Venetian oar and oarlock making alive, a work and tradition that is one of the essences of Venice and the Venetian lifestyle.
Every piece in his workshop is a functional and unique handmade craft, a result of centuries old expertise and knowledge, over the most essential tool for the Venetian rowing, while being also an incredibly beautiful design element and a strong symbol of a city, Venice, that is still alive.
