Maria’s “Barchette di Carta” is a beautiful shop with handmade dolls, diaries, and drawings for children located in the district of San Polo, close to the Rialto bridge.
Just like in a children’s story, Maria’s passion was borned by accident. One day, while doing here Ph.D in Venice, she took a bookbinding class in Vicenza and suddenly realised her compelling attraction for crafting, and she understood that her future would have to be tied to creating with her own hands.
Since then, Maria worked in markets and finally opened her shop in 2017, where she illustrates stories for children, crafts unique dolls, prints wonderful t-shirts and binds notebooks and diaries.
All products at “Barchette di carta” are hand-made and are the result of Maria passion for illustrations and crafting, and her love for children and Venice.
