Close to San Marco and stop-over for many gondolas and gondoliers, we suggest you go to the “L’Ombra del Leone” for a nice and fairly priced drink on their plateau on the Grand Canal, from which you will enjoy a terrific view on the Chiesa della Salute the Punta della Dogana and San Giorgio. When we are in this area in the late afternoon and there is a nice weather, we love to come here and have a prosecco while admiring once more the beauty of Venice.
