A unique workshop, in the heart of Venice
It is by walking off the beaten path in Venice, that it is possible to find places as special as Doppiofondo, in the district of Santa Croce.
Doppiofondo was born in 2014 as a cultural association, created by Vanessa and Tiziano, and specialized in traditional printing and bookbinding.
Doppiofondo’s specialization in those two activities was also the perfect start to become also an independent publisher. Every book created at Doppiofondo’s workshop is entirely hand-made, from the printing to the bookbinding, and is available only in a limited number of copies! And, of course, they can help you with the publishing of your own book too!
In this beautiful workshop, you can discover the traditional techniques of serigraphy, engraving, xylography and see how those are used to create beautiful works of art on paper as well as on wood and canvas.
In fact, Doppiofondo has a variety of prints for sale as well as handmade shoppers and shoulder bags decorated with their own original creations.
