Step into Alessandro’s shop and workshop and be welcomed by wonderful artistic pottery, ranging from serving trays decorated with colorful fishes and birds, to fine black and white teapots with erotic images, depicting naked young men.
A favorite of many art lovers and collectors, Alessandro’s entirely handmade ceramics are decorated with different styles and techniques. One of these techniques, the “sgraffito”, can be traced all the way back to Roman times: two successive layers of contrasting glaze are placed one on top of the other, and then the top layer is scratched to reveal the color of the underlying layer.
Alessandro’s creations are all unique pieces handcrafted and hand decorated in Venice that will stand out for their colors and original themes and style in every occasion… even for your breakfast!
